What follows is an email to an associate about to travel to Cedar Rapids Iowa from which I just returned. He’s a martini man, by the way; Loves his martinis.

Assuming flights are on time today, I’ll be at the customer’s location late this afternoon to re-image the disk drives of our lab systems (via Ghost) with the correct contents for tomorrow’s class.

No doubt you remember where you were and what you were doing when you first heard of the 9/11/2001 attacks.

Today is a travel day, driving from Huntsville to Nashville and then flying home on Southwest.

After work, I drove south from Huntsville Alabama a handful of miles to where highway 231 crosses the Tennessee River.

Jet lag isn’t something you avoid. Instead, you learn to minimize it, but go ahead and live with it while it lasts.

With some time to sightsee yesterday, I stopped by Roslyn Rifle and Revolver Club’s indoor range at 1130 Broadway, Westbury, NY 11590. A small bore competition was preparing to start so I only stayed long enough to get the Bullseye pistol person’s contact information.

The Sunnyvale Rod & Gun Club is up in the Bay area’s foothills, just behind (and in) Cupertino. Bullseye is fired on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month with “first shot” at 6:30PM.

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday was bright and sunny but this morning the fog is jammed down hard on the surface.
