Writing

Stories are usually focused on one character called the protagonist. Readers see through their eyes, experience their emotions, and thereby escape their problems for a little while. Such is the attraction of good fiction.

I see two kinds of writers at the writing groups I attend.

I attended a book signing by John Sandford, a pseudonym used by John Camp, at Scottsdale’s Poisoned Pen Bookstore yesterday evening. I made some notes from the event.

The movie “Arrival” (2016), in spite of its sometimes slow progress, has intrigued me for some time. After watching my BlueRay copy for the n’th time, I did some digging and came up with both the original story and also the screenplay.

Twine is an editor and converter for IF, Interactive Fiction. Writers use it to create the kind that is text-based as opposed to animated.

It’s not pretty.

When a new idea gets my juices flowing, I want to write it down before it gets away. If I’m at my notebook computer, a new Scrivener project is ideal.

If it’s in the Binder, you can assign it a label, but only one label. That seems rather limiting, don’t you think? Well, yes and no. Let’s explore a little bit.
