My Paternal Line

Henry Skinner, 1822-unknown is pictured here. He is my great, great-grandfather on my all-father’s line. Born in England, he lived in Pilton, a suburb of Barnstaple on the Atlantic Coast of Devon. Presumably from a few miles north of there in the aptly named village of Muddiford, he packed up his family and booked passage for one and all to Canada on a sailing ship.

When I started Serpent’s Smile with the “one chapter per week” goal, my writing process included a rewrite and an edit before each post. That was how I blogged - or at least how I tried to blog.

It that legal?

For federal elections, the Constitution (and Amendments) say you must satisfy three (3) requirements in order to vote in a federal election.

In the Facebook search bar, try “YourCity writers workshop”, substituting nearby city/area names. You’ll want to try several and note (pen and paper) the interesting ones for followup. In my case, I found four critique groups for writers.

If we talk on amateur radio, we might exchange QSL cards.

For one thing, if you do many different things throughout the day, it’s extremely easy to switch focus because the Mac can have all things going at once.

Oh my, have they changed!

Outlaws are, by definition, outside the law. Laws don’t stop them. Passing new laws to stop criminals is foolish.
