“Hey Honey, look what I just learned how to open with my wedding ring!”

I booked an eleventh hour - more like 11:30 PM - hotel room in Nashville last night but when I arrived at the property at midnight, they had no reservation. Worse, they were full, and had been for hours.

Curiosity, the biggest, heaviest and most complex rover, landed successfully on Mars this evening.

Curiosity experiences its Seven Minutes of Terror tonight, or becomes loose parts scattered across Mars.

I love my iPad2 on long flights. Other than during takeoff and landing, I will often have it on the whole time. And while I have lots of “apps” for work and amusement, when it comes right down to it, I watch movies more than anything else while flying.

My great-grandfather Skinner, like his Skinner ancestors, was rather short. Indeed, when we went to visit our Skinner roots near Barnstaple in England, my wife had to put Post-It notes saying “Duck!” on all the door frames because I was too tall and kept bumping my forehead.

It’s about two miles from where we live so I won’t have far to go. On the other hand, they charge a bunch just to come through the door, and then it’s all dealers with over-priced guns, ammo and accessories that will be selling. No walk-around sellers allowed.
