The knee jerk reaction that we should simply pull up stakes and leave is certainly understandable. And opponents who argue that doing so simply leaves a problem to fester and worsen such that, in a few years, there’s enough strength, organization and financial savvy to muster a future 9/11-type attack on the homeland, that argument also has merit. It did happen once, after all. It can certainly happen again.

We remember.

Inspired by “Why Does E=mc^2” by Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw, I admit to giving my imagination considerable free rein in this essay.

On-hand, I had five categories: brand new Starline, once-fired Remington, two flavors of “a few firings” (Winchester and Starline), and my practice brass that’s been fired and reloaded a dozen or so times.

He: No, dear. [pause] Does it bother you that I pick up sluts on business trips?

I’m OK. You’re OK.

But the rest of ’em? Sheesh!

After a first pass through my previous list of “first person Gospels” – those written or dictated by those who directly knew Jesus, see HERE – my gut told me some of these were somewhat less than direct. For example, the three numbered John books (I John, II John and III John) have a significantly different focus than the Gospel According to John.

Today - er, make that Sunday last - was “test magazines” day.
