Omens

  1. Badge lady in sour mood
  2. No paperwork for Visitor badge
  3. No cell phone number for company contact
  4. Equipment still in receiving two miles away
  5. Class arrives 30 minutes early
  6. Half of class does not have prerequisites
  7. Two people missing, two substitutes take seats and books, original people then arrive
  8. Equipment arrives six hours late
  9. Equipment freezes, no error message
  10. People responsible for equipment in earlier time zone already gone for the day
  11. Hotel happy hour cancelled

To Shoot Bullseye:

  1. Use good equipment;
  2. Learn proper technique;
  3. Train your body/mind how to do it;
  4. Practice, practice, practice; and
  5. Let it happen. (Don’t think!)

Outriggers is in southeast Houston, just over the bridge from the touristy Kemah. Located beneath that same bridge at the water’s edge with power lines crossing nearby, the bar does a huge business on Tuesday evenings with wait times as much as an hour. The reason? The two dollar tacos, fish or shrimp, grilled or blackened.

The SSID of my personal WiFi hot spot is a type of rare fruit, broadcast is turned off, and the WPA2 passphrase is a complete sentence including punctuation and proper capitalization from one of Thich Nhat Hanh’s books.
