Hillary’s private email system is not subject to the FOIA (Freedom Of Information Act).

This evening, I came home to what was supposed to be an empty house.

On the one hand there are those who, given the opportunity, would kill us without any thought of our individuality. “American” or “United States” or “Christian” is sufficient reason for them. I know. I’ve seen their stares and overheard their not-so-softly-spoken threats walking the streets of my world travels.

Protesters are invariably in the first category. They demand action. So while, yes, they are out there “doing something”, what they are doing is demanding that someone else do.

OK, this is going to be a fine line. The “link” included at the end of this post is to a publicly retrievable photograph on someone else’s web page, on Facebook to be precise. The photographer states (read it at the link) that the picture may not be posted so, therefore, I’m not posting it. Instead, I’m posting only the link to the otherwise downloadable image.

The deadlock is an intentional feature of the US Constitution. It is supposed to happen when the government becomes heavily divided – it is supposed to stop the government so that the people – that’s you and me – have the time and incentive to act.

The electoral college meets and casts votes in two weeks, on December 17th.

As a former debater, I love a good word-scrap. Last night’s Vice Presidential debate was, from that perspective, thrilling. Each side landed several good punches but the recipient always shook off the effects and charged back in.
